This tranquil and Romantic escape is surrounded by nature and the singing of birds, the tinkling of sheep bells and the gentle rustle of the cork oak leaves. Situated within the São Mamede Natural Park, from Pouso you can walk up a medieval track to the hilltop town of Marvão where "one can see the entire land" (José Saramago).

Tapada da Raia

Tapada da Raia has 35 acres of land, in the Natural Park of Serra de São Mamede (being the last Portuguese house, because it is bordered to Spain). For years it served as an anti-stress refuge for the family, who today decided to open the doors for those who want to spend relaxing days in the nature. Cozy cottage, inserted in a serene and natural Monte Alentejano with about 4 hectares. In the heart of the Serra de S.Mamede Natural Park, it is surrounded by a wide variety of native flora, such as Kills, Olive Trees, Carvalhos or fruit trees. Crossed by the Sever River and a stream that invites refreshing baths for its numerous waterfalls. It also has two real natural pools, old reused water tanks.
